Community CPR Awareness at Plymouth Active Leisure Centre with Jay's Aim
Plymouth International Rotary recently joined Jay's Aim and Plymouth Leander Swimming Club to deliver a community *Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)* Awareness Session at Plymouth Active Leisure Centre.
The event brought together children and adults from across the community, giving people of all ages the opportunity to learn life-saving CPR skills in a relaxed and supportive environment. Participants had the chance to practise CPR, build their confidence in responding to a cardiac emergency and learn how acting quickly can help save lives.
The session demonstrated the power of community partnerships. By working together, Plymouth International Rotary, Jay's Aim and Plymouth Leander Swimming Club were able to reach more people, raise awareness and help create a community where more individuals feel confident to step forward and make a difference in an emergency.
Events like this show that improving community health is not always about big projects. Sometimes it starts with people giving up just a little of their time to learn a skill that could change, or even save, someone's life.
We would like to thank everyone who attended, along with our partners and volunteers, for making the session such a success. We look forward to working with more organisations to bring similar community events to Plymouth, helping more people gain the confidence and skills to act when it matters most.
