Plymouth International Rotary Members Take a Swing at Golf

At Plymouth International Rotary, we're always looking for new ways to build friendships, develop new skills and have fun together. This week, a group of our members did exactly that with a visit to the golf driving range in Plymstock.

For most of us, it was less about perfecting our swing and more about taking our first steps into the world of golf. There were plenty of laughs, a few surprisingly good shots, and the occasional reminder that every golfer has to start somewhere!

So why golf? Rotary has a long tradition of organising golf competitions and charity golf days across the district, and we'd love to be able to take part in these events in the future. Learning the basics now is just the first step on what we hope will become another enjoyable aspect of club life.

Looking further ahead, Plymouth International Rotary also has ambitions to organise its own charity golf day. As with everything we do, however, it won't be just another golf event. We're already thinking about how we can put our own unique stamp on it, creating a fundraising day that's welcoming, inclusive and, above all, fun, whether you're an experienced golfer or picking up a club for the very first time.

That's very much the Plymouth International Rotary way. We enjoy trying new ideas, bringing people together and finding different ways to raise funds for the causes and communities we support.

Watch this space, we've got a feeling this is just the beginning of our golfing journey!

If you are interested in joining our Club or would like to learn more about us, we’d love to hear from you!
